Frida’s Garden is an in-home, nature-based childcare program for children ages 2-4. Here, childhood isn’t rushed. We spend our days outside, getting messy, asking questions, and finding joy in the world and people around us.

Two years ago, the first kiddos walked through the doors of Frida’s Garden. This summer, they moved on to their next adventures.
Now, I’m looking forward to welcoming a new group of children beginning October 5th, 2026.

What ages do you care for?

I care for children ages 2-4 years old.
Do you provide meals and snacks?

Yes! I provide lunch and two snacks each day, all vegetarian. A sample menu is provided to families before enrollment so you can get a sense of the kinds of foods I make for the kids. Our menu changes each week, and I send the upcoming menu to families the week before.
What makes Frida’s Garden different from a typical daycare/preschool?

Frida’s Garden has many of the same things you would expect from a daycare or preschool, but our small size and home-based setting allow more flexibility in how our days unfold. Rather than following a set schedule of activities, I can pay attention to the group’s interests, energy, and needs and let those things shape our day. Being in a home is also a big part of what makes Frida’s Garden feel different. The space is clean and thoughtfully cared for, but it also feels like a home; warm, cozy, and lived-in. I think there is something special about having a space where children can feel comfortable enough to settle in, be themselves, and feel at home. Keeping our group small also gives children the space to build genuine relationships with one another. They have time to get to know each other, work through disagreements, develop friendships, and become a little community of their own.
Does my child need to be up to date on vaccinations to enroll?

Yes. Because Frida’s Garden is a small community, we all have a responsibility to look out for one another. Vaccinations are required to help keep the children and families in our community healthy.
